Canon LUCIA PRO and LUCIA PRO II Ink

1. LUCIA PRO (PFI-1100, PFI-1300, PFI-1700): 12-colour pigment ink for the PRO-2000, 4000, 6000, 2100, 4100 and 6100, with deep blacks, smooth gradations and a wide colour gamut for photo and fine art printing.
2. LUCIA PRO II (PFI-3100, PFI-3300, PFI-3700): the newer 12-colour ink for the PRO-2600, 4600 and 6600, with Matte Black shared with the Canon GP-2000 and GP-4000.
3. 8-ink S models: the PRO-4000S, 6000S, 4100S and 6100S use 8 LUCIA PRO colours (Photo Black, Matte Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Photo Cyan, Photo Magenta and Grey) for posters, graphics and proofing.

Which Ink Size: 160ml, 330ml or 700ml?

1. 700ml: fewest tank changes and usually the lowest cost per millilitre, for busy studios, print rooms and 44" or 60" printers.
2. 330ml: a balance of capacity and cost for regular photo, poster and fine art printing.
3. 160ml: the lowest outlay, for lower volumes or the colours you use least, such as Red, Blue and Chroma Optimiser.

You can mix sizes in every PRO printer, and most printers have full sets available in each size.

Canon PRO Series Ink: Frequently Asked Questions

Which ink does my Canon imagePROGRAF PRO printer use?

The PRO-2000, PRO-4000, PRO-6000, PRO-2100, PRO-4100 and PRO-6100, and the 8-ink S models, use PFI-1100, PFI-1300 and PFI-1700 LUCIA PRO ink. The PRO-2600, PRO-4600 and PRO-6600 use PFI-3100, PFI-3300 and PFI-3700 LUCIA PRO II ink, with PFI-2100, PFI-2300 or PFI-2700 Matte Black.

Is PRO-2600 ink the same as PRO-2000 ink?

No. The PRO-2600, PRO-4600 and PRO-6600 use PFI-3100, PFI-3300 and PFI-3700 LUCIA PRO II ink, which does not fit the older PRO-2000, PRO-4000, PRO-6000, PRO-2100, PRO-4100 or PRO-6100.

What is the difference between the PRO and PRO-S printers?

The S models (PRO-4000S, PRO-6000S, PRO-4100S and PRO-6100S) use 8 inks instead of 12. They use the same PFI-1100, PFI-1300 and PFI-1700 tanks but do not use Photo Grey, Red, Blue or Chroma Optimiser.

What sizes do Canon PRO series inks come in?

Every colour comes in 160ml, 330ml and 700ml. You can mix sizes in the same printer, for example 700ml tanks for the colours you use most and 160ml tanks for the rest.

Do the 24-inch, 44-inch and 60-inch PRO printers use the same ink?

Yes, within each generation. The 24-inch PRO-2000, 44-inch PRO-4000 and 60-inch PRO-6000 share the same inks, as do the PRO-2100, PRO-4100 and PRO-6100, and the PRO-2600, PRO-4600 and PRO-6600.

Which print head do Canon PRO series printers use?

Canon imagePROGRAF PRO series printers use the Canon PF-10 print head (0861C001AA). Each printer's ink page links to the right print head and maintenance cartridge.

Are your Canon PRO series inks genuine Canon?

Yes. Every cartridge we sell is a brand new, genuine Canon product with its own Canon part number and EAN, supplied by iPF Store, a Canon Platinum Partner.

How quickly can my Canon PRO series ink be delivered?

Order before 4.30pm for next working day UK delivery. Call 0800 970 2244 for education discounts, bulk pricing or advice.
