Which PFI-3300 Ink Fits My Printer?

All tanks are genuine Canon, 330ml, LUCIA PRO II pigment ink. A tick shows which series each tank fits. Matte Black (PFI-2300MBK) and Orange (PFI-2300O) carry PFI-2300 names but belong to this ink set. Other sizes: see the PFI-3100 160ml range or the PFI-3700 700ml range.

PRO 12-Ink vs GP 7-Ink: What's the Difference?

• PRO-2600, PRO-4600, PRO-6600 (12 inks): built for photography, fine art and giclée. On top of the core inks they add Photo Cyan, Photo Magenta and Photo Grey for smoother highlights, Red and Blue for a wider colour gamut, and Chroma Optimiser for even gloss on photo papers.
• GP-2600S, GP-4600S, GP-6600S (7 inks): built for posters, retail and point-of-sale graphics. They use Matte Black, Photo Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Grey and Orange (PFI-2300O).

The Matte Black, Photo Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Grey tanks are shared, so studios running both series can stock one set of core inks.

Matte Black or Photo Black?

Both series carry two blacks, each with its own nozzles, so there is no manual switching. Photo Black (PFI-3300PBK) is used on glossy, semi-gloss and lustre photo papers. Matte Black (PFI-2300MBK) is used on matte, fine art and canvas media, where it gives a deeper black. Matte Black carries the PFI-2300 name because the same tank was introduced for the earlier GP-2000 and GP-4000 and carried over to this range.

Print Head & Maintenance Cartridge

Both series use the Canon PF-10 print head (0861C001AA) and the Canon MC-30 maintenance cartridge (1156C002AB). When one ink runs low, check the others and the maintenance cartridge so you can replace them in the same order.

Which PFI-3300 inks fit the GP-2600S, GP-4600S and GP-6600S?

Matte Black (PFI-2300MBK), Photo Black (PFI-3300PBK), Cyan (PFI-3300C), Magenta (PFI-3300M), Yellow (PFI-3300Y) and Grey (PFI-3300GY). The seventh ink is Orange (PFI-2300O, 5283C001AA). Photo Cyan, Photo Magenta, Photo Grey, Red, Blue and Chroma Optimiser are PRO-only.

Does PFI-3300 fit the PRO-2100, PRO-4100, PRO-6100, GP-2000 or GP-4000?

No, apart from the Matte Black. The PRO-2000, PRO-4000, PRO-6000, PRO-2100, PRO-4100 and PRO-6100 use PFI-1300 330ml inks, and the GP-2000 and GP-4000 use PFI-2300 330ml inks. The PFI-2300MBK Matte Black is shared with the GP-2000 and GP-4000; the other PFI-3300 colours are only for the PRO-x600 and GP-x600S.

How much ink does a Canon PFI-3300 cartridge contain?

Each tank contains 330ml of genuine Canon LUCIA PRO II pigment ink. 160ml PFI-3100 and 700ml PFI-3700 tanks are also available.

What is the difference between Photo Black and Matte Black?
