What size is 42 inch plotter paper?
42 inch plotter paper is 1067mm wide. Our 42" rolls are 45m or 50m long on a 2" core.
What can I print on 42 inch plotter paper?
The 1067mm width takes A0 portrait drawings (841mm wide) with a margin of about 113mm on each side, and B0 portrait prints (1000mm wide) with about 33mm on each side. That makes it ideal for oversized plans, large site layouts and big GIS maps.
How many prints do I get from a 42" roll?
A 50m roll gives around 42 A0 portrait prints or around 35 B0 portrait prints. A 45m roll gives around 37 A0 prints. These figures are before allowing for margins and cutting waste.
Should I buy genuine Canon paper or iPF Store CAD paper?
Genuine Canon IJM papers are made by Canon for imagePROGRAF printers, so they're a safe choice if you want Canon's own media. Our 90gsm CAD paper is a cost-effective alternative in a 4-roll pack, giving excellent results for everyday drawings and check plots.
Which paper should I choose?
Canon IJM009 75gsm suits high-volume check plots. Canon IJM021 and our 90gsm CAD paper feel more substantial for client and site drawings. Canon IJM113 90gsm coated paper gives brighter colour for renders and presentation prints.
Will 42 inch plotter paper fit my printer?
Yes, if your printer takes 42" (1067mm) or wider rolls on a 2" core. That includes Canon imagePROGRAF 44" models, plus most 42" and 44" HP DesignJet and Epson SureColor plotters. 42" paper won't fit 24" or 36" printers. Call us if you'd like us to confirm compatibility.
